Assistant Manager- M&E

Full Time/  Bangalore, Karnataka /Immediate

Job Description:
As Industree Foundation is expanding and scaling its work in multiple states, we are looking for a dynamic Assistant Manager- Data Management and Monitoring & Evaluation to power our journey as a data-driven and impact-focused organization. This is a high-impact role for someone who has an understanding of projects and loves designing smart, context-driven tools, building robust data systems and strategies, to strengthen programs while ensuring quality. You’ll support manager M&E, Guide the MIS team and work closely with operations/ field, tech and project management teams.
 
Roles and responsibilities:
 

  1. Monitoring & Evaluation Strategy and Theory of Change

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive M&E strategy aligned with the Theory of Change, organisational goals, and programmatic priorities.

    • Update (as needed) and manage the Theory of Change.

    • Create logic frameworks for new programs and update existing logic frameworks whenever needed.

    • Design and refine key indicators and essential data collection points to track outputs, outcomes, and impact across diverse program and vertical contexts.

    • Ensure high-quality data is used to inform decision-making, learning cycles, and program improvements.

  2. Tools Development and Deployment

    • Design, develop and deploy data collection, survey and Monitoring & Evaluation tools aligned with the Theory of Change, Key frameworks for all programs.

    • Lead training and capacity building of MIS and field teams on data.

  3. Data Management, Analysis and Reporting

    • Design and manage streamlined, ethical data systems and processes.

    • Ensure timely, reliable collection and analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data across projects to derive actionable insights.

    • Maintain data quality, consistency, and security across all projects and verticals.

  4. Integration of Technology

    • Leverage technology to streamline and strengthen MIS and M&E processes, including the use of digital data collection platforms, automated workflows, and mobile-friendly data collection tools.

    • Support the development of and maintain digital, real-time dashboards to monitor program performance and impact metrics.

    • Explore and implement innovative tech solutions that enhance data accessibility, visualisation across the organisation.

  5. Coordination and Communication:

    • Work closely with operations and different value chain field teams to address and resolve data-related issues.

    • Connect every week/daily with the field team/MBT Coordinators/CS to address the data errors and to obtain up-to-date data on priority.

    • Communicate clearly and effectively with the field, operations and M&E team regularly to discuss challenges faced and solutions provided.

  • Experience with database management and data analysis tools.

  • Should be able to communicate clearly across all the teams throughout the projects.

  • Should be a good team player and a quick learner with an aptitude to pick up things fast. (As we are fast fast-paced organisation)

  • Must be dynamic with a strong sense of responsibility, accountability and positive attitude.
     

Relevant Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, impact assessment, and Data management or related roles in the development or livelihood sector.

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing data and M&E frameworks and tools grounded in Theory of Change and aligned to program goals.

  • Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including survey design, sampling techniques, and data analysis.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as advance Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

  • Experience working with digital data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, Google sheets, SurveyCTO, etc.).

  • Demonstrated ability to train and build the capacity of internal teams in M&E practices.

  • Strong project management and communication skills, with attention to detail.

  • Ability to travel to the field as and when required.
     

Language(s):

  • Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of at least one regional language is desirable, especially for field visits and local stakeholder engagement.
