Sales Manager – Bamboo Products

Full Time/ Bangalore
Roles & Responsibilities

    Core Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, research, and develop new domestic and export markets for bamboo sticks, slats, and emerging product categories.

  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline for both finished and semi-finished products.

  • Proactively reach out to new buyers, large retailers, wholesalers, OEMs, institutional clients, and new sector opportunities.

  • Develop tailored sales pitches and proposals for each market segment.

  • Lead negotiations with buyers to close profitable deals and contracts, in line with costing provided by the Merchandising Manager.

  • Achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets as per the business plan.

  • Market Expansion & New Product Sales

  • Test new product categories in target markets to validate demand and pricing assumptions.

  • Gather buyer feedback and share it with the Merchandising Marketing team for product refinement and pilot scaling.

  • Identify partnerships or distributors for scaling new product categories.

  • Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with new and existing customers.

  • Handle escalations, complaints, and post-sale queries professionally.

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business through consistent follow-ups.

  • Reporting & Coordination

  • Maintain up-to-date CRM data on leads, conversions, sales cycle status, and order pipelines.

  • Provide timely forecasts, revenue reports, and market insights to management.

  • Work closely with the Merchandising & Marketing Manager for handover of confirmed orders, pricing inputs, and production feasibility checks 

  • Represent the organization at exhibitions, trade fairs, industry meets, and relevant buyer networking events.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, or a related field.

  • 5–7 years of proven sales experience, ideally in natural materials, sustainable products, or craft-based industries.

  • Strong track record of achieving ambitious sales targets.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Good understanding of export procedures, domestic B2B channels, and institutional sales.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting systems.

  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable with regular domestic and occasional international travel.
