Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a proactive and data driven Associate/Sr. Associate – Market Development
and Sales to assist in building a scalable market for the products made by communities and
rural women collectives across India. This full-time, on-site role puts you at the heart of a
transformative movement— building and scaling markets for products crafted by rural
enterprises, including producer collectives and smallholder farmers across India.
Qualifications
• Market Research, Business Development, and Sales skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Experience in client relationship management
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor or Master degree in business, Marketing, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in market development, business development, or related roles.
• Startup experience is a plus
• Experience in the social enterprise sector is a plus
Primary Responsibilities Include
• Partnerships & Sales: Build strong relationships with hotel chains, distributors,
architects, and industry partners. Support lead generation, outreach, and customer
engagement.
• Sales Enablement: Develop customized sales materials and proposals. Assist in
preparing client presentations, decks, and product demonstrations
• Product Development Support: Collaborate with design and production teams to
create and test Minimum Viable Products (MVPs). Gather customer feedback and
refine prototypes to ensure market fit
• Market Research & Analysis: Identify trends, customer needs, and market gaps for
bamboo-based products, particularly in hospitality and construction/interior design
sectors. Analyse competitors and support strategic decisions
