Technical Specialist - Carbon Credit

Roles & Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain a detailed project timeline with key milestones

Monitor and report regularly on project progress, including carbon sequestration targets, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with certification requirements.

Conduct extensive field visits to ensure on-ground quality, adherence to protocols, and smooth execution of the certification process.

Plan and coordinate annual training programs for farmers and staff to enhance capacity and ensure adherence to project standards.

Facilitate field visits by independent auditors / VVBs to ensure compliance and successful certification.

Build and maintain strong relationships with project partners, ensuring alignment with project objectives and commitments.

Strong understanding of carbon sequestration, climate change mitigation, or natural resource management projects

Familiarity with carbon credit certification processes, standards, and requirements (e.g., VVB audits, compliance protocols)

Knowledge of data analysis tools and software (e.g., GIS and Excel)

Ability to design and oversee training programs for farmers and field staff

Strong documentation and reporting skills, ensuring compliance and audit readiness

Educational Qualifications
-
Master’s Degree in Environmental Science / Natural Resource Management (Preferred) or any relevant discipline with equivalent experience.

Work Experience

Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience with a strong understanding of carbon sequestration principles and ecosystem dynamics
