Celebrating Strengthening Association with Forest Stewardship Council® India

Industree Foundation recently hosted Dr. Suresh Gairola, Country Director, FSC India at its Bangalore office, where the interactive meeting with Neju George Abraham, CEO, Industree Foundation, and senior team members explored possibilities to expand collaboration, address challenges in the certification process and future scope. 

Dr. Suresh Gairola, appreciated the focus on creating market access to economically empower rural women and the ambitious plans of Industree Foundation to expand its bamboo and NTFP value chains. He also expressed happiness over Industree’s plans to expand its FSC^® certification portfolio across states and assured full support from FSC^® India in this endeavor.

The dialogue aimed to strengthen Industree’s efforts towards certification for private micro plantations, as we scale up to reach 1 million small-holding women farmers through the bamboo at scale initiative and the journey towards making India a global leader in the FSC^®-certified bamboo value chain.
