Over the past month, five primary natural materials, Chamba, Palm Leaf, Palm Nar, Fine River Grass, and Powerloom River Grass, have been fully integrated into the unitโs production ecosystem. Guided by lead designers Dhirendra Prathap Mandavi and Elina Patnaik, and informed by 2026โ2027 global trend frameworks, the team is developing a distinctive collection for upcoming international fairs and domestic markets.

The programme moved beyond conventional skill-building and focused on end-to-end design integration. With the support of six master trainers, 45 women artisans were strategically aligned across handloom weaving, basketry, and 3D product construction. The process covered the full product lifecycle, from raw material curing and segregation to advanced 3D shaping techniques.
Merchandising and communications teams were embedded throughout the process, ensuring coherence from material sourcing to market readiness.
By bridging raw fibre with refined design, the Madurai unit is now positioned to deliver a versatile, high-quality product range under a unified, sustainable design approach, strengthening Industreeโs preparedness for both global and domestic markets. Read more
