Industree Collaborates with IWST- India's Premier Wood Research Institute

The collaboration with IWST is a significant milestone for Industree Foundation as we build sustainable livelihoods through the bamboo program. 💫 

On 13th November, 2025, Industree signed a partnership agreement with the Institute of Wood Science & Technology (IWST), Bengaluru- India’s premier wood research institute part of ICFRE, under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.

This MoU establishes a long-term collaboration focused on advancing bamboo-based product development, undertaking R&D (Research and Development) on additives, glues, bamboo composites, and other modern applications that can serve as alternatives to hard and soft wood, developing processes that make production viable within rural setups having constraints of limited power and space, and improving the incomes of the producers.
